The Hope Through Learning Award is a $2,500 award available to youth age 24 and under residing in Allegheny County who are experiencing or have experienced homelessness during their school attendance years, and who are going on to a higher education or career training program for the first time.

EEqual Scholarship Awards Program

The EEqual Scholarship Awards Program is designed to highlight the incredible potential of young people in the United States who are struggling with homelessness, housing instability, or extreme poverty. At EEqual, we believe that every student, no matter their economic background should have an equal opportunity in education. This scholarship covers tuition costs, up to $8,000, for students experiencing homelessness or housing instability (as defined under the McKinny-Vento Education for Homeless Children and Youth Program (MV) students in extreme poverty; or students whose family is currently going through a transition) to attain post-secondary education. Selected scholars will also be paired with a mentor who will guide them throughout their years in higher education.
Chicago Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) College Scholarship

"Each June, the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless awards renewable college scholarships to graduating high school seniors who succeeded in school while experiencing homelessness. We strive to provide financial support for post-secondary education for youth experiencing homelessness. Eligibility - Students the age of 21 actively pursuing post-secondary education and eligible for McKinney-Vento assistance Students who have experienced homelessness while in school within the last six years Undocumented students who meet these criteria are also eligible Amount - Starting at $1,000

LA Room and Board’s residential education program, promotes to our students persistence, retention, and completion from their certificate, associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs.
YSS Post-secondary Education Retention Program

Post-secondary Education Retention Program (PSERP) helps young adults (ages 18-25) to successfully complete their education goals—whether that's an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or certificate of completion from a trade program. The program is a partnership of YSS's organization Iowa Homeless Youth Centers (IHYC) and the United Way of Central Iowa.
Eva’s Initiatives for Homeless Youth

Eva’s Initiatives for Homeless Youth is an award-winning organization that provides shelter, transitional housing, and programming to help homeless and at-risk youth reach their potential to lead productive, self-sufficient, and healthy lives. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, 123 youth aged 16 to 24 find safe shelter and support in our facilities every night. Eva’s gives youth the tools to transition out of homelessness permanently.
Safe Haven Foundation - Community Knowledge Centre

Haven’s Way is an innovative program that duplicates a healthy, caring family environment. It is a voluntary, long-term supportive housing program that assists girls between the ages of 14-24 who do not have child welfare status and have a focus and commitment to completing their education. Safe Haven Foundation’s newest initiative, Haven’s Harbour, will provide subsidized housing and supports for 9 additional young women who are pursuing post-secondary education.
