LA Room and Board ensures that California’s community college students achieve their postsecondary education goals by providing affordable transitional housing designed to end homelessness. LA Room and Board’s residential education program, promotes to our students persistence, retention, and completion from their certificate, associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs.
YSS Post-secondary Education Retention Program

Post-secondary Education Retention Program (PSERP) helps young adults (ages 18-25) to successfully complete their education goals—whether that's an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or certificate of completion from a trade program. The program is a partnership of YSS's organization Iowa Homeless Youth Centers (IHYC) and the United Way of Central Iowa.
Hope Homes

The Hope Homes Program provides safe and stable housing options and individualized supports for youth, 16-24 years old, who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs has seen the various non-academic challenges our students encounter on a daily basis, which has led to the establishment of the Office of Urban and Off-Campus Support Services, otherwise known as U-ACCESS. U-ACCESS envisions a campus where students are empowered to effectively engage in the fight against the systems of poverty, pursue economic security, and successfully achieve their academic goals at UMass Boston.
