There are many resources available to college students experiencing homelessness, but these resources can vary substantially from one community or institution to another. Below is a partial list of resources that students may be able to access. Overall, students experiencing homelessness are encouraged to tell the staff at their campus about their situation.


National Housing Strategy: What is the strategy?

The National Housing Strategy is the largest and most ambitious federal housing program in Canadian history. Over the next decade, it will invest $115+ billion to build stronger communities and help Canadians across the country access a safe, affordable home. This includes more than $13 billion proposed through the 2020 Fall Economic Statement.

What Budget 2021 means for ending homelessness

The federal government released their 2021/22 budget Monday. Budget 2021 builds on existing National Housing Strategy investments with over $2.5 billion in new funding and an additional $1.3 billion moved forward in previously promised housing investment. But it doesn’t go far enough.
