Florida State University Unconquered Scholars Program

The Unconquered Scholars Program provides an array of support services promoting overall success to youth who experienced foster care, homelessness, relative care, or ward of the State status. Many Scholars have faced profound hardships during childhood that may increase their risk of leaving academia without a degree. In fact, research indicates former foster youth are far less likely to earn a degree than their non-foster care peers. Florida State University is committed to meeting the unique needs of Unconquered students so they experience the long-term professional and personal benefits associated with educational attainment.


Carleton University Student Emergency Fund

The Student Emergency Fund (SEF) is designed to provide emergency financial assistance to Carleton University students experiencing short-term financial hardship related to critical needs.


University of California Santa Barbara - Rapid Rehousing Program

The Rapid Rehousing Program works in conjunction with the Financial Crisis Response Team to connect students experiencing housing insecurity to housing resources. If a student is at an immediate risk of being houseless, they may be eligible for the following: Transitional Housing: Temporary housing for up to 25 days for students who lack safe and stable housing. Free meal plans and case management are included during a students' stay. Housing Vouchers: One-time emergency rental assistance grants applicable to on and off campus living arrangements. Grant award amounts are determined on a case by case basis. Case Management: The Financial Crisis Response Team works with students to find long term solutions to students' basic needs and provides a holistic service in order to connect students to respective basic needs resources on campus as well as in the community.


Edquity

Technology building service that streamlines the delivery of cash and cash assistance programs. Specifically intended to eliminate bureaucratic red-tape and burdensome paperwork for people in need of emergency financial relief. Works directly with post-secondary institutions to support the quick application review of students and delivery of funds (24 and 48 hours, respectively).


FAST Funds

FAST Funds utilizes research-based evidence that indicates students are significantly more likely to seek support from their professors than they are to seek out administrators. This program delivers funds directly to the faculty and intentionally eliminates the school and administration's role in application review and distribution of funds.
